About us · Metro Vancouver & the Fraser Valley
About Roofing Vancouver BC
We are a roofing company working across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, on repairs, replacements, flat and torch-on membrane, metal, cedar and composite roofs, inspections and moss removal. We are WorkSafeBC registered, carry five million dollars of liability insurance, are GAF certified, and belong to the ICBA and the BBB.
What follows is what we do and how, rather than a page of adjectives. Everything checkable here is either something we will put in writing or something a published source says.
What we do
Roofs, on houses and on buildings, across one region.
We work on residential and light commercial roofs between West Vancouver and Chilliwack — a deliberately narrow patch of geography and a narrow trade. No renovations, siding, decks or windows.
- Roof replacement — full tear-off to the deck, on asphalt shingle, metal, cedar and composite.
- Roof repair and leak tracing, including the temporary work that buys a dry window for a proper fix.
- Flat and low-slope roofing in two-ply SBS torch-on: garages, additions, sun decks, whole low-slope houses.
- Metal roofing in 26-gauge snap-lock, and cedar conversions with a full new plywood deck.
- Roof inspections, including pre-purchase and pre-sale condition assessments.
- Commercial and strata roofing, with maintenance programmes.
On flat roofs we install two-ply SBS torch-on and we do not install TPO. Naming what we do not install is more useful than listing everything we could supply.
How the work is done
The same specification, on every roof.
A roofing quote is mostly a list of things you will never see again. That is why the specification is fixed rather than adjusted to whatever number a customer is hoping for. On every job: synthetic underlayment rather than felt; peel-and-stick at the eaves, in the valleys and at every penetration; custom 26-gauge flashings and valleys bent for the roof rather than reused; and new Duraflo 50 vents at roughly one per five squares, plus new plumbing and HVAC flashings.
Our crews are licensed, WorkSafeBC registered and insured, and the clearance letter and proof of coverage are available before work starts. There is no provincial roofing trade licence in BC, so those two documents are the only real verification a homeowner has — ask for them from anyone quoting a roof, us included.
The three problems we find behind other roofers' work more than any others: corner-cutting on flashing details, cheap underlayment, insufficient ventilation. All three are invisible on the day the job finishes, and all three decide what the roof looks like in year twelve. That is why the specification does not bend.
The price is fixed in writing before work starts, not given as a range. The items that cannot be known until the old roof is off — new decking, a second layer, difficult access — are named in the quote with their own prices, so an unexpected finding arrives with a photograph and a number agreed weeks earlier.
Around one tear-off in ten turns up rot, usually a couple of sheets around a penetration; the other nine need only re-nailing. That is the honest answer to the question we are asked most, and the same whether or not it sells a bigger job.
What we publish
We publish what we can stand behind.
Roofing marketing has a credibility problem, and most of it comes from numbers nobody can trace. So there is a rule here: if it cannot be checked, or we would not put it in writing to a customer, it does not get published.
That means several things are missing here that you will find on most roofing sites: no review counts or star ratings, because those belong on the platforms that verify them; no case studies with invented addresses; no claim to be the region's largest or most recommended, because nobody has measured that.
What we do publish is sourced. Rainfall figures come from Environment and Climate Change Canada's climate normals, with the station named, because "it rains a lot here" is not information. Installation temperature limits and warranty terms come from the manufacturers' own bulletins. Lifespan ranges come from the building science in BC Housing's Research Centre library alongside what we see here, which is about twenty-five years. The figures about our own work are ours, and we will say the same standing in your driveway.
Credentials and coverage
What can be verified, and where we work.
- WorkSafeBC registered. A clearance letter confirms the account is in good standing and protects you if someone is hurt on site.
- Five million dollars of liability insurance, with proof available on request before work begins.
- GAF certified. Product warranties frequently require it.
- ICBA and BBB members.
- More than 500 roofs completed.
- Written workmanship warranty on every job — ten years on shingle, metal, cedar and composite, five on torch-on and flat, with the manufacturer's product warranty registered separately in your name. The warranty page explains the difference.
We work across twenty municipalities: Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey, Richmond, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, North and West Vancouver, New Westminster, Langley, Delta, Tsawwassen, White Rock, Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, Abbotsford, Mission, Chilliwack and Anmore. The inspection is free in every one.
Rainfall across that stretch runs from about 1,160 mm a year in Richmond to above 2,500 on the upper North Shore, which is why the service areas page says something different about each rather than repeating one page with the name swapped.
If something here is wrong, out of date, or does not match what you were told on the phone, tell us and we will correct the page.

The estimator measures your roof and prices it before we ask for anything. If your roof has years left in it, we will say so rather than quote one you do not need.
